NEXT RIVAL POLICIES

PARENT/GUARDIAN CODE OF CONDUCT

Our mission is to develop confidence, self-esteem, sportsmanship and meaningful participation through recreational team sports while supporting each participant’s physical well-being and character. This Code applies at Next Rival Sports activities and in related program communications.

My responsibilities

I will prioritize my child's physical and emotional well-being over winning; encourage effort, enjoyment and fair play; and avoid ridicule, humiliation, threats, taunting, abusive profanity or discriminatory remarks. I will treat participants, coaches, officials and families respectfully regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or other legally protected status.

I will follow safety directions, remain outside restricted playing areas, and raise ordinary disagreements calmly through the designated league contact. I may report unsafe conduct, abuse or discrimination immediately. Respect for officials does not require silence about misconduct. Physical contact, including a handshake, is not mandatory.

I will explain these rules to my guests and seek their cooperation. Guests remain responsible for their own conduct; this signature does not bind an absent spouse or guest. I will not act as a coach, supervisor or substitute without Organizer approval and required screening. Any transportation arrangement must follow the separate transport/pickup rules.

I will not use alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco or vaping products in program activity areas, attend while impaired, or misuse medication. I will follow lawful venue restrictions on weapons and substances. Necessary prescribed or emergency medication is not prohibited. Authorized law-enforcement duties are excepted from weapon restrictions to the extent required by law.

Violence, discipline and review

Violence, credible threats, intimidation, stalking, abuse and retaliation are prohibited. Staff may stop play, separate people, eject a person, contact emergency services, or impose an interim safety restriction immediately. Serious or repeated violations may result in a permanent exclusion from Organizer activities. Access to third-party facilities is controlled by the venue owner and applicable law.

Discipline will consider reliable facts, seriousness, safety, prior incidents and mitigating circumstances. The Organizer will give written notice of a longer suspension or permanent exclusion and a reasonable opportunity to respond. A written review request may be sent to HQ@NextRivalSports.com within seven calendar days of notice. A person not directly involved will review where practicable. Interim safety restrictions remain in effect during review. This process does not replace statutory procedures or restrict external reporting or legal remedies.

Affirmative acknowledgment

I am at least 18 and the participant's parent/legal guardian. I have read and agree to this code for my own conduct and will explain age-appropriate expectations to my child. By checking the acceptance box and entering my name, I intend to sign electronically. I may save a copy. This is not a liability release or consent on behalf of another adult.
